KC3.net's originating company has a long history in Community and Regeneration projects and activities.

KC3 (Kington Connected Community Company Ltd), our originating company, was formed in 1993 as a partnership between public and private enterprise. The original founders were Apple Computers, BT, the Rural Development Commission and the DTI. The aim being to investigate the potential uses of IT technologies for ruralcommunity and regeneration purposes.

The company was limited by guarantee and non-profit distributing. Since its inception it has rapidly developed a wide range of both commercial and communityactivities.

KC3 is now widely recognised as a good practice model in the areas of regeneration, community participation, and sustainability. It has an impressive record of successful partnership activity in funding and private / public sector projects. This expertise in recent times has been widely used by other organisations as a consultancy service.

KC3 early identified the potential of the Internet and became a full ISP supplier in 1995.

KC3.net Ltd was born from the Internet Solutions team of KC3 in 2006. Maintaining our community focus, many of the shares in KC3.net Ltd are held in trust for the benefit of the local community. The company now supplies a complete range of information services based on Internet technologies. However, KC3.net in the past few years has developed a reputation for more complex data interactive websites. KC3.net now employs a highly skilled team of Internet and Business professionals.
