Project Profile - Learndirect and UkOnline Centres
KC3.net has provided eCommerce integration for Ufi (University for Industry) by providing an online marketing materials ordering system for their Learndirect and UkOnline centres. Ufi required an automated Business to Business e-Commerce system to enable Learndirect Hubs and Centres to order merchandise online. The system links directly to Ufi's fulfilment warehouse, iForce, batching daily orders and returning current stock levels. The hierarchical accounting system allocates billing for individual Centres to their Hub.
The key innovation provided through the delivery of this project is that KC3 automated what was previously a slow manual process heavy on staff time.
"Customers are now receiving their orders within three days - it used to take up to eight days. We used to employ three people to process orders, invoice customers and deal with enquiries. The new system has brought about a dramatic decrease in processing time and the amount of queries we are handling. We are now employing only one and half people to administer the system."
