Herefordshire Council, Wyebridge Sports College and the Diocese of Hereford (the Sponsor) agreed the 'Expression of Interest' for the Academy and this was approved by the Department for Education and Skills (DfES, but soon to have a new name!). The Academy is sponsored by the Hereford Diocesan Board of Education (DBE) who will form the Trust that owns and runs the Academy, via the board of Governors, to ensure community representation.
